The 1st step of Recovery, is to Recognize the Problem.
Its crazy how the enemy likes to bombard your mind with crazy stuff like "self-pity". I have been single for the last 10 years, out of the 10 years I have fought this a hundred times if not more.
As a single women who desires to be married one day, I rejoice in seeing my friend posts when they say they are dating, engaged and married. But shortly after reading their posts, it starts... Your not dating, your not engaged...
Its enough to drive a person into a deep depression (that is the trick of the enemy, IF you let it)....
It doesn't have to be that way, if you don't know who you are in Christ, I suggest you begin to let him reveal that to you as you search out to who He is in your life. It will help to fight off the enemy.. Don't become a victim but instead, look outside of yourself and do the things that the Lord has put in front of you for this Season of being Significantly Single for Such a time as this.
Not only am I posting this as a reminder to myself, but also to those who have struggled in this very thing!
Remember that “A woman's heart should be so hidden in God that a man has to seek Him just to find her.”
